What We Do

Three commitments, one purpose

The Oregon Research Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that carries out its mission through focused programs and projects — each advancing rigorous inquiry and the public good, so the benefits reach communities in Oregon and across the country.

Research

Supporting public-interest scientific and community-based research.

Education

Providing accessible educational programs and public resources.

Community Well-Being

Strengthening resilience through grants, partnerships, and community initiatives.

Why we exist

We support the quiet, careful work that helps communities thrive — research that serves the public, education that opens doors, and programs that build resilience where it’s needed most.

The Foundation does this work through distinct programs and projects, gathered under a single nonprofit roof — rooted in Oregon, with work that reaches communities across the United States. One of those projects is the Sheri Eckert Foundation.

The Sheri Eckert Foundation

Among the Oregon Research Foundation’s projects is the Sheri Eckert Foundation — advancing public-interest research and education in the state-regulated psychedelic healthcare model pioneered in Oregon and now emerging across the United States.

Featured Project

“Making legal psychedelic healthcare possible.”

The Sheri Eckert Foundation operates as a project of the Oregon Research Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. It incubates public-interest, real-world research and supports public education in the state-regulated psychedelic healthcare model pioneered in Oregon and expanding across the country.
